The Community Drum Circle is an open invitation to gather with others through music and sound. Whether you're an experienced musician, have never picked up an instrument before, or simply want to sit and soak in the atmosphere, you're warmly welcome. There is no performance, no pressure, and no expectation. Just people coming together to create something unique each month.
WHAT TO EXPECT
This is not a class or a guided workshop. Instead, it's an organic community gathering where everyone is invited to participate in whatever way feels natural. You can play an instrument, experiment with rhythm, improvise with others, clap along, move or dance, sit quietly and receive the experience like a sound bath, simply observe and enjoy the atmosphere.
INSTRUMENTS
If you have an instrument you'd like to play and share with the group, you're very welcome to bring it. Djembes, hand pans, shakers, percussion, guitars, singing bowls, flutes or anything that inspires you.
Don't own an instrument? That's completely okay. Many people bring extras, and you're welcome to explore and experiment with what's available. No musical experience is required.

The Community Drum Circle is built on openness, curiosity, and connection.
Whether you come to make music, meet new people, reconnect with yourself, or simply enjoy the shared energy of the evening, you'll be welcomed exactly as you are.
This gathering is for all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels.
WHEN & WHERE?
WHEN: We gather on the last Friday of each month, and other spontaneous days which are planned in our What's App group chat. Typically, session start around 7pm and last 2-3 hours. We don't have a regimented time for arrival and you don't have to stay for the entire session. People come and go as they please :)
LOCATION: If weather permits, we plan outdoor gatherings in the beautiful New Forest. Otherwise, drum circles are held in Studio Soma. Address: Unit 21 Premier WayRomsey, Hampshire SO51 9AQ
COST
Free to attend.
Cash donations are warmly welcomed in our wooden donation box upon arrival. Suggested donations are £10. Your contributions help us provide tea, purchase additional instruments, and continue creating a comfortable space for our growing community.
If donating isn't possible for you right now, please still come. This gathering is offered in good faith and is open to everyone.
